We purchase both steel and non-ferrous metals, process them, and sell them for further recycling. We are working hard to recycle scrap metal! We are looking for someone to come and work for us as a Steel gas cutter in our Seaview yard. You will need to have proven experience in gas/plasma cutting, with the gas cutter being responsible for cutting up steel into more manageable sizes for additional processing. In this position you might also be asked to travel within New Zealand for Project work. Skills and attributes required: • It is essential that you have experience with gas cutting and plasma cutting. • Good health and safety record • Clean full driver’s license • Ability to work as part of a small team and independently. • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test. • Able to pass a MoJ check to our satisfaction. • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. i.e., be a New Zealand or Australian citizen or a New Zealand permanent resident. • Ability and interested in traveling for work. We offer a competitive hour rate range for this position; $30.00-$35.00 per hour based on skills and experience. We will also offer training and upskilling for the right person. The hours of work are Monday to Friday and Saturday morning as rostered or required. Weekly hours are approximately 40-45 hours per week, although when working on projects these hours will vary.
