We truly believe that when people achieve their financial goals, their whānau and communities flourish as a result. **To help us with this, we are searching for a Technical Writer to join our Technology and Transformation team, based in our Invercargill Head Office on a fixed term basis.** This role specialising in digital transformation within banking plays a crucial role in making sophisticated financial technologies understandable for internal stakeholders. The Technical Writer translates intricate concepts such as software integrations, digital banking platforms, cybersecurity, mobile apps, processes and software architecture into clear, accessible documentation. These materials are vital for ensuring seamless adoption of new technologies, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer experiences-serving audiences ranging from banking team members and IT teams to end users. **What you'll be busy with:** * Authoring, editing and structuring documents such as user manuals, process maps and guides, API documentation, compliance documentation, architecture and integration documentation FAQs, and release notes for digital banking products and transformation initiatives. * Reviewing legacy computer systems to map required processes for transformation to future state platforms. * Designing flowcharts, process diagrams, screenshots, and tables to explain digital banking functions such as mobile app navigation or online loan application workflows. * Working closely with digital banking teams, IT architects, software developers, cybersecurity experts, legal and compliance departments, and product managers to collect information and to ensure the accuracy of content. **What you'll bring:** * Proven experience in IT technical writing and documentation tools. * Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences. * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. **And preferably you'll also bring:** * Familiarity with Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Visio), Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA), and BMC. * Experience in the banking or financial services sector. * Tertiary qualification in IT, Technical Communication, Information Systems, or related field. This role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, worked between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
