About the position We’re looking for a Trainee Sweeper Truck / Hydrovac Operator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is keen to learn and grow in a specialised field. The work involves: • Operating sweeper trucks to support road maintenance • Assisting with hydro excavation work (hands-on, physical outdoor tasks) • Following a monthly programme while being adaptable to last-minute changes • Working with Health & Safety front of mind at all times — looking after yourself, your team, and the public This is not just a driving role — you’ll be working independently in the field, problem-solving on the go, and delivering a high standard of work that supports our community. Who are we looking for? The ideal candidate will: • Hold a full Class 2 Driver Licence (essential) • Enjoy working independently and taking responsibility for their work • Be flexible and adaptable — plans can change quickly! • Be physically fit and not afraid of hard, hands-on work • Put Health & Safety first in everything they do • Be motivated to learn and train to a high standard Previous Hydrovac or sweeping experience is not required — full training will be provided for the right candidate.
