Tie Hand Steel Fixer-Wellington Davies Contractors is a trusted NZ subcontractor specialising in reinforcing steel placement and steel fixing. We’re looking for experienced Tie Hand / Steel Fixers to join our supportive, hard-working team in Wellington. Position responsibilities * Tie reinforcing steel using tie wire and tie guns * Assist with placing and securing reinforcement safely and efficiently * Work cooperatively with the team and follow direction from Supervisors/Leading Hands * Always follow company health & safety procedures and site requirements Requirements: * Minimum of 3 years tie hand steel fixing experience preferred * Be a positive team player with strong work ethic * Be reliable and physically fit * Preferably have your own transport * Current Site Safe Passport and ConstructSafe, or willingness to obtain * Must pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing * NZ residency / citizenship or a valid NZ work visa Benefits to joining our team: * Competitive pay rates based on experience * Working on new and interesting projects * Minimum 30 hours guaranteed (average week 40–50 hours) * Ongoing full-time work on significant projects across Wellington * All new PPE provided (including boots and belt) * Training and development, including Site Safe/ConstructSafe * Immediate start for the right candidates * Supportive, inclusive culture with a strong Filipino workforce Full Job description is available on request.
