




Hammer hand required all throughout the Gisborne region! OneStaff is seeking an experienced and dedicated Hammer hand to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our qualified builders on a variety of construction sites, as well as carrying out general labouring work as required including but not limited to: Duties: * General labouring work as required (this includes unloading trucks, assisting scaffolders, concrete work) * Assisting qualified builders with framing, formwork, and other structural tasks. * Cutting, measuring, and preparing materials according to project specifications. * Handling and erecting timber and other building materials. * Digging trenches and preparing sites for foundations. * Using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively. * Keeping the work site clean, tidy, and organised. * Following all health and safety regulations and company policies. * Communicating effectively with the site foreman, builders, and other team members. * Transporting materials and equipment as required Skills and Experience: * Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Hammer hand or a similar role in the construction industry. * Strong practical skills and a good understanding of construction methods and materials. * Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings. * Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. * A good level of physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour. * A strong work ethic, a reliable and punctual nature, and the ability to work effectively in a team. * A current and valid Class 1 Driver's Licence, meeting New Zealand standards, is essential * Current Site Safe Passport or a willingness to obtain one. * A strong commitment to health and safety is non-negotiable. * Flexibility to work in various locations across the country Pay conditions: Minimum $26.00 per hour to a maximum of $30.00 per hour depending on experience Hours of work: A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed. Location: You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland.
