Project Manager - Civil Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure Position Overview; We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be degree-level qualified or hold relevant civil engineering qualifications, with at least 10 years of major NZ Civil project delivery experience. This role requires proven expertise in managing complex roading, earthworks, and large-scale infrastructure projects within New Zealand. **Key Responsibilities;** * Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and successful delivery of infrastructure projects such as state highways, roundabouts and major roading upgrades. * Contract Management: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of NZS3910 contracts and the Construction Contracts Act to ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles. * Team & Stakeholder Management: Manage multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors; liaise effectively with clients, consultants and other key stakeholders. * Self-Delivery Capabilities: Oversee self-delivery aspects including roading works and earthworks operations. * Job Pricing & Financial Control: Prepare accurate job pricing models incorporating materials costs; manage labour allocation; oversee plant utilisation; calculate margins/profits for each project phase. * Programming & Delivery Skills: use advanced scheduling tools to ensure timely completion while maintaining quality standards. * Health & Safety Compliance: enforce strict adherence to health/safety protocols across all sites. **Core Skills Required;** * Minimum 10 years' experience in civil engineering/infrastructure sector within New Zealand * Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional certification in Civil Engineering * In-depth understanding of NZS3910 contracts framework plus familiarity with the Construction Contracts Act * Proven track record managing teams/subcontractors/stakeholders on large-scale public works (e.g., state highways) * Hands-on self-delivery capability across various disciplines including but not limited to: road construction/upgrades/earthmoving activities etcetera To be a part of some significant and exciting projects apply here online or call Brianna on 021 541 736 today for a confidential chat. **About the role** Following the damage caused by Cyclone Gabrielle, a programme of recovery work is underway to restore State Highway 2 and State Highway 35 in the region back to two lanes.
