We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Maker with CNC experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures using CNC machinery and conventional equipment. This role is crucial in supporting production operations by ensuring that all tooling is manufactured to high-quality standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and specifications. • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, EDM, grinders) to fabricate precision tools and components. • Modify and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as needed. • Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.). • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot tool issues to minimize downtime. • Maintain accurate records of work completed, tooling inventory, and maintenance schedules. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Tool Maker, preferably in a CNC machining environment. • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring tools. • Strong experience with CNC programming (e.g., G-code), setup, and operation. • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks). • Understanding of materials and machining characteristics (steel, aluminum, etc.). • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently Education & Experience • 3+ years of relevant toolmaking and CNC machining experience. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed. • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
