We are seeking a new Container Dispatcher for our PBT business , who will be responsible for the dispatch of container movements. This is a day job, Monday to Friday but hours may vary during peak periods. This position plays a key role in helping PBT provide a market leading service to our customers in Christchurch and throughout New Zealand. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: A minimum of two years' experience in a Dispatching function within the freight and logistics industry. Good geographical knowledge of the Christchurch and South Island areas. An organized and planned approach to work. Have prior experience developing efficient route planning for container runs to complete daily deliveries and pickups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing an outstanding level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Motivated by working in a fast paced work environment, that involves regular stakeholder management with both our internal teams and end customers. The ability to contribute and succeed in a team environment. Medium to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to generate and manipulate reports using Excel, and a working knowledge of a TMS system. Be able to prepare Manifests and organize and dispatch containers to Drivers , ensuring all deadlines are met. We are looking for a candidate to start with urgency.
