This is a full-time, day-shift role, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Operations Manager. WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE: * Drive a modern fleet of trucks and trailers safely on local and regional roads. * Handle freight deliveries and pickups with efficiency and care * Work with a supportive, experienced team that values your skills * Enjoy a structured schedule with rostered shifts and clear responsibilities * Grow your career with a nationally recognised transport leader * Be part of a safety-first, people-first workplace WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: * Safely and efficiently drive Class 5 vehicles on metro and regional routes across Otago. * Assist with loading, securing, and unloading freight, including gear swap operations * Maintain trucks and trailers, including fuel, wash, RUCs, and general upkeep * Use EROAD electronic logbooks to accurately record driving hours, rest breaks, and trip details in line with NZTA compliance requirements * Work closely with dispatch, warehouse teams, and other departments to ensure smooth operations * Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures at all times ABOUT YOU: You’re an experienced Class 5 driver who takes pride in doing the job right, safely, efficiently, and professionally. You value teamwork, communication, and reliability, and you understand that every delivery matters. You’ll need: * Current Class 5 driver license with Dangerous Goods and Forklift Endorsement. * Prior driving experience at a Class 5 level, including reversing and manoeuvring with a trailer. * Knowledge of the New Zealand Loading Code * Current forklift operator certificate (advantageous). * A strong work ethic, reliability, and safety-first mindset * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively * Good communication skills and ability to relate well with others * Reside locally to Dunedin. * Flexibility and punctuality, with physical fitness to meet job demands.
