We’re looking for an Experienced Residential Project Manager to join our construction team based in Rolleston but operating sites around the greater Christchurch area. You’ll run a mix of residential projects, mostly spec subdivision-based builds, with some multi-unit and design & build projects depending on your experience and pipeline. This is a full-time role (approx. 45 hours/week) within a flexible, supportive work environment. You’ll be the one keeping everything and everyone on track, delivering on time, on budget, and to our high-quality standards. What You’ll Be Doing • Managing builds from consent through to handover • Organising teams, subcontractors, and suppliers • Staying on top of budgets, schedules, and H&S compliance • Maintaining Freedom Bulit’s high quality standards • Communicating clearly with clients, trades, and the internal team • Pitching in when needed - sleeves rolled up, mahi done • While the builds aren’t highly complex, managing the pace, volume, and daily moving parts is where you’ll earn your stripes. What You’ll Need • Carpentry trade qualification and 5+ years on the tools • 2+ years’ residential PM experience (multi-unit, D&B, or subdivisions a bonus) • Confidence running multiple high tempo active builds at once • Highly organised, practical, and solutions-focused • Strong communication and leadership skills • Confident with Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM Software is an advantage • H&S knowledge and experience in a residential setting • Full NZ driver’s licence, clean record • NZ residency/citizenship and clear of criminal convictions • Willing to complete drug testing pre-employment if required • A great sense of humour, high moral compass and value working as part of a team What We’re Offering • Company vehicle, phone & laptop • Quarterly Health & Wellness benefit • Flexibility • Rolleston based office with builds across Selwyn and Canterbury • Supportive team culture that walks the talk • Competitive salary + long-term growth opportunities • And yep - the odd Friday pie, beer and office banter Send your CV to mark@freedombuilt.co.nz Let’s have a chat.
