We are looking for competent climber, who is looking to join an exciting and dynamic company. We look after our local council's street and reserve trees and have been doing this for the last seven years, along with both private and commercial work. An ability to work as an integral part of a team is essential and to work with all members of the Roberts Tree Surgeons Company and demonstrate skills in staff leadership, training and motivation. This person is required to be fit and strong with knowledge of plant and tree species and hold a level 3 Arboriculture qualification, if you're not quite there yet, we can help. This position is for an individual who is able to work in all aspects of the company’s operations. This includes working in the tree surgery, tree transplanting and planting disciplines. The majority of our crew are powerline certified, and we are one of the authorized contractors for Firstlight Network, our local electricity provider. Our skills really come into play when there's a tricky job to complete, this could be clearing debris from the city's bridges post cyclone or removing dead pine trees prior to native tree planting, the trickier the better. We are now seeing the benefits, with less downtime and increased staff morale. A current clean Driver's License is required; class 2 truck would be an advantage. The position requires a great deal of client contact, therefore good communication skills are important, both oral and written, as well as a tidy appearance. The working hours are 45 per week. This position requires an individual with a passion for working with trees. All consideration must be given to the aesthetic appearance of trees on completion of work wherever practicable. The individual must ensure client satisfaction is guaranteed without compromising good working practice and aesthetics.
