Our client is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturing companies, specialising in commercial and residential door solutions. They're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-focused Junior QS/Estimator to join their friendly team. This role would also suit someone who's recently finished their studies or gained a relevant qualification and is looking to kick-start their career in the manufacturing or construction industry. You'll receive full training and ongoing support from an experienced team. Hours of work: Monday- Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm This is a long-term role with potential for a permanent role for the right person. Day-to-day duties: * Reviewing plans, taking off quantities, and preparing accurate quotes and estimates * Printing and filing plans and quote documentation * Updating quotes when variations or design changes occur * Assisting walk-in customers and providing great service * Typing up quotes and general correspondence * Keeping the quote register up to date and following up on quotes * Sourcing supplier pricing and materials when needed * Helping with general admin tasks - answering phones, taking messages, and supporting the wider team * Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues * Managing incoming emails and ensuring all queries are handled promptly What we're looking for: * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Friendly, professional communication * A qualification in estimating, construction, or similar (or relevant experience) * Comfortable reading plans and using computers Excellent remuneration is on offer, which will be based on skillset and experience.
