Description

We are a busy, well established automotive workshop known for delivering top quality service and workmanship. We are looking for a skilled and motivated mechanic to join our friendly, professional team. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. You will also be required to have Warrant of Fitness authority and be able to carry out WOF inspections in accordance with NZTA regulations. Day to day responsibilities include: * Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately. * Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks * Using your skills and knowledge to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem. * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles * Liaising with the workshop manager as required * Seeking approval from customer/workshop manager to repair vehicle. * Using correct tools for the job install parts, equipment, wiring or programs to meet specifications. * Performing routine maintenance on vehicles, determining when and what kind of work is required. * Carry out service and repairs to vehicles in accordance with the times laid down by the Workshop Manager. * Keep all records up to date and in a timely manner. * To keep your work knowledge of vehicles up to date and to be able to carry out servicing, repairs, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts and equipment. * Carry out your work in accordance with our health and safety procedures and much more!
