Plumber’s Assistant – Auckland! Keen to get hands-on, grow your skills, and build a career in the plumbing trade? We’re looking for proactive and reliable Plumber’s Assistants to join a skilled team working on a variety of projects across Auckland. This is a great opportunity to gain experience alongside qualified tradespeople and work on meaningful infrastructure and commercial plumbing jobs. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Plumber’s Assistant, you’ll support the team with: - Assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems - Handling and preparing materials, tools, and equipment on site - Cutting, measuring, and assembling piping under supervision - Digging trenches and preparing pipe routes - Cleaning up work sites and assisting with safe disposal of materials - Transporting tools and supplies - Following all site safety protocols and maintaining a tidy workspace You’ll play a key role in keeping jobs running smoothly and safely, while gaining valuable experience on the tools. What We’re Looking For: We’re after a dependable team player with a solid work ethic and can-do attitude. Ideally, you’ll have: - At least 1 years’ experience as an assistant plumber in New Zealand assisting on-site in a trade or construction setting - Good physical fitness and a willingness to work in varied conditions - A basic understanding of plumbing tools and materials - A strong focus on health and safety - A current driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred) - 2 recent work references - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen If you're looking to break into the trade or continue building on your practical skills, this could be the perfect step forward. About the Role:  We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to join a dedicated team working on various commercial projects and maintenance contracts throughout Palmerston North. In this role, you'll contribute to high-profile developments, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technology.
