About the role | Ko te kaupapa We’re on the lookout for a skilled Operator to join our Three Waters team. This is a dynamic role where you will be involved in the construction of Three Waters infrastructure projects across the Canterbury region. You’ll have strong knowledge and experience with three waters networks, including pipelaying, backfilling, compaction, working in and around trenches, and making service connections. You’ll also be skilled in operating small and large machinery, including loading and unloading equipment. Concrete Pump Operator

The Company Christchurch Ready-Mix Concrete Limited is a well-established family business which has been operating in Canterbury for over 60 years and is now part of the H.W Richardson Group. The company is made up of four divisions which are concrete, aggregates, civil contracting and a workshop delivering mechanical and engineering services. The Role We are looking for an experienced Concrete Pump Operator who will be based at our Belfast Site. Training will be available for the right candidate. You will need to be: fit and able, well organised, capable of planning ahead, skilled at handling heavy vehicles and have a talent for delivering excellent customer service on site. You will be responsible for the driving and operation of a concrete pump truck. This involves driving to and from the job site, operation of the pump and keeping the equipment clean and in good operating condition. You must also be flexible and willing to help our other divisions by driving other trucks / equipment, if required. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, with work on Saturday mornings as and when required. You need to be flexible to accommodate irregular work hours and start times. To be successful in this role you will need to: * Have a Class 4 Licence * Have excellent communication skills * Have a high standard of work ethics, good health and safety and compliance practices * Have the capability to think quickly and act efficiently * Be a team player, positive, energetic and focused on achieving the desired goals * Have a high level of self-motivation and drive to succeed * Be reliable, trustworthy and able to work unsupervised * Be physically fit and able, to lift, set up and move the pumping equipment In return we offer: * A wage in the range $32 to $35 per hour, depending on experience * Medical insurance after six months * An opportunity to join a great team * Training and development support * Guaranteed 40 hours per week The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
