This stylish New Zealand Pottery tea kettle by Peter Stitchbury has a brown ground with a charcoal drip glaze over the top and it features a bamboo or cane handle. Including the handle, the tea kettle stands 24 cm in height and measures 20 cm from the spout to the back side. The glaze is shiny!! The maker's mark is rear centre just above the base. The kettle or teapot displays very well. There is a very fine hairline about to the bottom right back about 5 cm in length - easier to feel than see! Peter Stitchbury (1924 - 2013) was an accomplished potter and artist who potted part-time while he held teaching positions up until the late 1960's, when he began potting full-time. He was awarded the MNZM in 2002. Please see our other listings for more New Zealand pottery pieces. The starting price of $18.00 is the reserve. No BUY NOW. THE FOLLOWING IS VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE NOTE that both the rural and non rural courier quotes are the cheapest available (ex Christchurch) from Aramex Couriers but YOU MUST check with THEM as to whether THEY consider your address to be URBAN or RURAL and WILL DELIVER. They can have quite different ideas which may (probably will) differ from yours! For example: Christchurch to Ashburton is considered Canterbury delivery, Christchurch to Timaru is considered Rest of South Island delivery, Christchurch to Kaiapoi is rural!! They will not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
