An Impressive Vintage piece of desirable NZ Studio Pottery by the Important NZ Potter Warren Tippett. A stoneware square sided bottle neck vase with delightful wax resist decoration in a manner and style that Warren Tippett is noted for. This will be a piece likely made in the 1970s as after about 1980 his work shifted dramatically to more earthenware brightly decorated examples rather than high fired stoneware such as this. The piece is in great condition with no cracks or chips.. and it measures 145mm tall by 110mm square. It is impressed with his makers mark to one lower corner although it has been obscured with glaze .But I have absolutely no doubt what so ever that this is a Warren Tippett Vintage Studio Pottery Piece..and a brilliant example at that.
