We are searching for a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager & Duty Managers to lead the team at Midnight Shanghai. We are a Modern Chinese Restaurant and Karaoke, Dim Sum & Cocktail Bar. This manager will have full oversight of Midnight Shanghai front and back of house, and for experienced candidates possibly an additional move into General Operational oversight of our other operations within our Riverside Market based operations. This role is focusing on improving team standards, organising and forecasting the overall operation including budgeting and costing of a restaurant including coordinating with kitchen menu and training with respect, group the teams to have smooth day/week/month meeting goals, and provide exceptional dining and take out experience. If you have strong experience in managing service standards and coaching and mentoring both kitchen and front of house teams then we would love to talk. Duties and responsibilities would include: - Overall operational responsibility to delegating while managing daily operations and teams dynamics. - Lead on shift with training schedules, including front of house and back of house. - Strong in budgeting and costing, reporting and training aspects, while hands on leading by example. - Daily includes roster design, cost review & sections assignment, stock control & bar optimisations, venue maintenance and Duty Manager shift delegations, team training & performance review and sales schemes. - Recruitment, training & career development of both front of house and kitchen teams (with Senior Chef and Admin team Support) and menu analysis with directors' weekly reporting. - Liaising with marketing team support for venue specific marketing & promotional activities, aimed at both attracting new and returning custom. Successful applicants will have relevant management level work experience in the hospitality space and team size over 20, Asian cuisine preferred but not a must. The most important is willingness and actions working closely with directors to meet business goals of satisfying guests at our Chinese restaurant and bar, and team culture building to achieve results within timeframes while leading team progression plan. Naturally you would be willing and be able to work weekends, and public holidays, and engage in an extremely fast paced and challenging environment.
