About the job: Are you an experienced Asphalt Operator with a minimum of 5 years experience looking to join a progressive company in a temporary position? Are you physically fit and enjoy working outdoors? We are looking for a temporary Asphalt Operator for a temporary position to work within Citycare Water. There is potential for this role to go permanent. You will be fully versed in all things asphalt and be prepared to work up to 12 hour days with early morning starts and potential weekend work occasionally. About you • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Asphalt Operator • Experienced in pedestrian roller use, hot sealing, road bandaging, pot holing • Flexible with hours - early morning starts, potential weekend work • Physically fit. • You will have good attendance, be punctual and reliable. • Work well in a team environment. • Full Class 1 & 2 Licence, WTR Benefits and culture: We offer an inclusive and vibrant company culture where effort is rewarded, fresh ideas are welcome, and success is celebrated. If you’re experienced in profiling/setting out of building foundations, or house relevelling or underpinning and have the ability to read foundation plans (or want to learn), we’d love to hear from you. While having an LBP is a bonus, it’s not a requirement, but some prior building experience is a must. It is essential that any individual joining us is experienced in working in any weather and all types of sites, including mud, steep and rocky terrain. This is a labour intensive job. Great wages will be negotiated for the right person. The work is based in Northland, and you will travel back and forth each day to the site in most situations, from our yard. You must have your own vehicle to get to and from our yard. Where the site is too far away and the team have to stay over, transport will be provided along with accommodation and food. There is a good solid pipeline of work that will keep you busy.
