Fabulous Work Group is a hospitality and recruitment group company and has several sites in Auckland. We are looking for staff to join our sites. Full and Part-time positions available Various shifts are available, weekdays and weekends. 4 x COOK-Southeast Asian (Indonesia) Dishes Duties & responsibilities: • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh • Prepare and cook a variety of Southeast Asian (Indonesian) dishes, including from scratch, following recipes, and using specialized cooking techniques like stir-frying, steaming, grilling, and deep-frying • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences, and ensure that menus reflect the authenticity of Indonesian cuisine • Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish poultry and other foods • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes • Handle and store ingredients and food • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils • Execute opening and closing procedures • Check the quality and freshness of ingredients • Familiar with Indonesian dishes-taste, flavour, cooking procedure, seasons • Able to make Indonesian dishes • Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers • Able to work on Friday, Saturday, Sunday Have minimum two years of industry experience or level 3 qualification in cookery or related industry Minimum: 30 hrs/week Rate per hour: $25-$30 4 x PASTRY CHEF-Southeast Asian (Indonesian) specialization Duties & responsibilities: ▪ Responsibility for the operation of the pastry section of the kitchen - including desserts, breads and other baked goods. ▪ Liaise with the Executive Chef / Head Chef to develop the pastry dessert menu for the establishment. ▪ Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality and cost control. ▪ Impart knowledge and training of the pastry section to other kitchen staff. ▪ Order and maintain inventory for the pastry section to ensure efficient operations. ▪ Attend kitchen meetings. ▪ Any other duties the Executive Chef / Head Chef or Sous Chef may reasonably require. ▪ Perform Southeast Asia (Indonesian taste and flavour) bakery and cake. ▪ Willing to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday Have minimum two years of industry experience or level 3 qualification Minimum: 30 hrs/week Rate per hour: $25-$32 General Requirements: • Follow set policies to maintain standards for food safety in all food preparation areas • Follow set policies to maintain standards for health & safety at work in all food preparation areas • Good communication skills • Positive attitude • Ability to work competently under pressure • Valid work visa To be considered for this role you should be able to provide previous work. Working on weekends and will be available on-calls (if required) for this position. Preference will be given to candidates who are already in New Zealand and has relevant work experience.
