Sleepover Shift Hours: 10:00 pm – 7 am and 11 pm – 7 am - weekly rotating roster, patterning a mixture of 3 or 4 on and 3 or 4 off. The client is based in Mairehau. This is a sleepover role (between 10 PM – 7 AM or 11 PM – 7 AM) where you will be staying overnight to make sure the client is safe, comfortable, and well looked after. You will be there in case they need a hand during the night. The sleepover shifts are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. -Helping with 4-hourly turns to keep the client comfortable and support their skin -Giving medication if client is awake—or waiting until the next turn if they’re not -Offering a drink, helping with the toilet, or changing the bed if needed -Supporting with any light personal care, if they ask for it during the night -Keeping the space calm, clean, and tidy Please note: Training flexibility is a must for this role. Initial training will take place in the mornings during the first 3-4 weeks. Sleepover shifts will only be allocated once this training period is complete. This role is ideal for someone who is quietly confident, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable working independently during the night. You will be providing support to a client with a spinal cord injury, so being a warm, respectful, and reliable presence is key. What We Are Looking For | Ā mātou e kimi nei -Minimum Level 3 in Health and Wellbeing qualification or its equivalent from another country is beneficial but not necessary. -Full NZ Driver's License -A reliable vehicle of your own -A valid and current Basic First Aid Certificate is required. If you do not have one, you must provide evidence of a -confirmed booking before starting employment. -Candidates must be able to pass a Police Check or undergo vetting. To fast-track your application, simply request a copy of your recent Police Vetting Result from your current or past employer. This will help speed up your hiring process. Additional Advantage: Experience supporting clients with spinal cord injuries and/or managing complex care and behaviours of concern is highly regarded.
