Description

LOCATION OPENS 1 SEPTEMBER - JOB STARTS 18 AUGUST We’re building something a little different — a new kind of destination in Three Kings. It’s not a café, not exactly a store, and not just a place to hangout. It’s a thoughtful blend of all three, shaped by the people who walk through the door. A space with coffee at its core, designed to connect good people, great riders, and quality products — a focus on experience, without the hard sell. We’re looking for a skilled, motivated barista to make our coffee offering their own. This is your chance to grow something from the ground up, serving a customer base of mountain bikers, locals, and coffee lovers. The coffee bar will sit alongside one of the most considered spaces in the country — and we want the coffee to match. **What we're looking for** You’re someone who loves great coffee and knows how to make it well (we're working with Eight Thirty) — but you’re just as good at making people feel welcome. You don’t need to have worked in high-end cafes (though that helps), but you will need to care about quality, consistency, and customer experience. We’re a small, close-knit team, and this role is best suited to someone who’s confident running solo, keeping the space clean and prepped, and engaging with a wide mix of people — from experienced riders to local parents grabbing a flat white. You’ll have: At least 2 years’ experience on the machine (ideally with more boutique coffee offerings) Confidence working solo and managing daily prep + clean down A genuine, friendly attitude and great people skills Interest in mountain bking/cycling, the outdoors, or creative spaces (not essential, but a plus) A good eye for detail — someone who keeps the space tidy and calm **What you’ll be doing** Dialling in and serving great coffee on a consistent, high level Running the bar day-to-day, including prep, ordering, and quality control Welcoming customers, having great chat, and setting the tone of the space Keeping the space looking sharp, stocked, and in rhythm with the rest of the store Helping shape the vibe of a space that’s more than just a coffee stop Helping as part of the wider team **What we offer** Full-time hours (with flexibility) and a very competitive hourly rate Weekday-focused roster, with limited weekend work A relaxed, supportive workplace with low noise and good people The chance to grow something unique, with input from day one Free coffee (obviously), plus industry hookups and a tight-knit team vibe If you’re ready to help shape a new kind of coffee and community experience, flick us a message. We’re keen to meet people who get what we’re about and want to help build something cool, real, and lasting. Apply now with a covering letter and a CV.
