Yeah, you’ll be fixing gear — servicing, greasing, and diagnosing all sorts of machines from trailers to 5T diggers. But it’s more than spanners and sockets. We are looking for an experienced mechanic to work in our well equipped workshop. The applicant needs to be able to work on all types of vehicles & also able to do WOF inspections.

We require a Technician to join our busy workshop in Springfield. If you are seeking a job with responsibility and management roles this may be for you. Our workshop carries out a wide variety of repairs and maintenance, our main client base is rural farming. We also run a busy roadside breakdown and recovery service covering from Darfield to Otira. You will preferably have a WOF certificate or the ability to gain one. A full clean full drivers license is essential HT license a bonus. Able to manage your own day and carry out administration as required. Also work along side other team members and assist in training. If you are an outdoors person who loves the country Springfield has a lot to offer with local ski fields, rivers and lakes at our door step. It also offers a highly recommended primary school and also a Darfield High school bus run.

Austin Bluewater Environmental Concepts Limited design and manufacture precast concrete wastewater treatment systems, effluent pumping systems, septic treatment systems, grease traps and water tanks. Due to company growth and customer demand, we are seeking to employ another field service person to add to our capable team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repairs to our treatment plants and products. This is an autonomous role where you will be enjoying working in varying environments. This role will see you working outdoors in the countryside covering roughly the areas from Waipara to Hinds and Banks Peninsula to Castle Hill. If you enjoy fresh air and country views that change from day to day then this could be the job for you. We are looking for someone who is: • Experienced in a trade-based service industry. An electrical or plumbing background would be advantageous but not essential. • Has a genuine interest in the wastewater & environmental industry • Highly attentive to details with commitment to a job well done • Mechanically minded with a problem-solving mentality • Able to adapt to changes and has a can-do attitude • Self-driven, organised, methodical and has good time management • Possesses excellent communication skills; written and spoken • Well-presented and good mannered • Is willing to work outside of their comfort zone when required and outside of Canterbury occasionally. You will be working as part of an experienced team. Having a good understanding or previous employment in the wastewater or irrigation industries would be advantageous however not essential. Training will be provided to the successful candidate. You must have a ‘clean’ full drivers licence and be free of any driving convictions. The successful candidate will be well rewarded for their skills and abilities. A limited use company vehicle and cell phone will form part of the employment package. Motorsport Solutions are looking for two new employees one to run and manage our *Engine shop and Dyno facility and one experienced engineer preferably with a motorsport or aviation background to assist with building and servicing of racing cars and various projects. Skills required would be a background in Automotive machining and or manual and CNC machines. General welding skills . General interest in racing cars and the associated manufacture of would be a help.

Whilst you will be working outside of school hours you may have contact with the public and teachers so you will need to have excellent people skills. The Role: Monday - Friday 3:15pm-5:15pm Total hours: 10hs per week Please note as this is a school, you will be employed to work 40 weeks of the year + 4 weeks term cleans.
