Description

Key Responsibilities * Accurately measure and prepare subfloors for new installations * Lay carpet, vinyl and laminate flooring to client specifications * Cut and trim materials for tight, professional finishes * Seam and stretch carpet using industry-standard tools * Install underlayments and adhesives safely and efficiently * Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance * Maintain tools, equipment and work vehicles in good order * Communicate closely with site supervisors and clients to keep projects running on schedule    What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a carpet, vinyl and/or laminate installer (minimum 2 years) * Strong knowledge of installation techniques, adhesives and underlayments * Comfortable working on both residential and light commercial sites * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to a high-quality finish * Full driver’s licence (Class 1) and reliable transport * Site Safe or willingness to obtain certification  Why Join Our Team * Steady Work: Permanent role with a busy local contractor * Competitive Rates: $25–$35 per hour based on skill level * Supportive Culture: Friendly, safety-focused environment with opportunities for upskilling
