Our client has been operating in Ashburton for over 40 years and is part of a large global group that manufacture high quality plastic products to clients nationally and worldwide. Due to the high demand of their quality product and continual market and company growth, they require Factory Machine Operators to work 10 or 8 hour set shifts, day, night or twilight. The shifts are across Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. You will be operating plastic extruder or rotational moulding machines to manufacture PE and PVC pipe and plastic products while completing quality checks to ensure specific standards are met. This will be a temporary position to begin with but will have the potential to become permanent for the right person. We are looking for someone who: - Has previous experience operating machines, - Is physically fit and able, - Has basic knowledge of hand held tools, - Holding a current OSH forklift licence would be of advantage but not required. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test and must be conviction free.
