Elms Court Village is a 77 bed rest home, hospital and retirement village in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. We are seeking a junior chef / cook assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will be supported in their role by the Kitchen Manager . The role will vary; sometimes leading the small team of kitchen staff, following a pre planned menu, ensuring food stocks are correct, good kitchen practice's are followed and preparing nutritious and flavorsome food for our residents. At other times may also be required to fill a lessor role helping with food preparation, doing dishes and also serving tea and coffee to the residents. The role is therefore always interesting and having a friendly social, can do attitude is a attribute sought from our successful candidate. Pay rate is negotiable depending on skills and experience, however envisage pay in the $25 - $30 range. Hours are; Week 1 Mon 7 - 3pm Tues 7 - 3pm Wed off Thurs 8.15 -3.45 Fri 8.15 - 3.45 Sat off Sun off Week 2 Mon 8.15 - 3.45 Tues 8.15 - 3.45 Wed 8.15 - 3.45 Thur off Fri off Sat 9 - 5.30 Sun 9 - 5.30 29 hours one week, 37 next, therefore average off 33 hours per week.
