About the role | Ko te kaupapa We have an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our Parks & Reserves team based in Rolleston. In this role, you’ll play an important part in maintaining the parks and gardens that make the Selwyn District thrive. Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll help keep our community spaces vibrant and inviting. Your responsibilities will include the maintenance of parks and reserves, both on a reactive or scheduled basis, in line with contract specifications. This involves garden care, annual bedding displays (planting and maintenance), vegetation control, horticultural spraying, basic weeding, line trimming, and mulching. We are looking for a full time Spray Painter to work on all types of vehicles in our newly built paint shop. This position is based at our workshops on Newnham Street in Rangiora for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Work hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Overtime is also available. Pay is competitive and negotiable depending on skill and experience. A sign-on bonus can also be negotiated.
