About the Role: You’ll be part of a variety of hands-on construction projects, including farm structures, civil works, bridges, general construction, and the occasional back-country job. A good mix of work across different locations. Wanted full time shepherd general on 850ha Operation in two blocks 10minutes from Cheviot. We also trade winter lbs and some cattle. We use resolution app to keep records and keep up with compliance you will use this day to day on farm. Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair milking machines and associated equipment on dairy farms - Conduct routine servicing and performance testing (full training provided) - Assist with basic welding, fabrication, and low-voltage electrical work (no formal qualification required) - Troubleshoot equipment faults and deliver practical solutions on-site Hours of Work: - Standard: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM - Flexibility needed for early starts, late finishes, and seasonal demands - Weekend/on-call work on a rotating roster (every 6–8 weeks) - Occasional overnight travel for out-of-town jobs This is a great opportunity to learn on the job and work towards a recognised milking systems qualification.
