Kiwi Roofing specialise in commercial roof and cladding and provide services to New Zealand’s leading construction companies completing some of Auckland’s most specialised commercial and industrial buildings. Based in Mt Wellington, Kiwi Roofing operates throughout the greater Auckland region. The successful candidate may be required to travel to other regions within the North Island from time to time to complete projects. The company will cover costs associated with working outside the greater Auckland Region including travel, accommodation and meals. Through careful planning, coordination, and execution, the project manager plays a crucial role in meeting or surpassing our clients' expectations by making sure that projects go smoothly and produce outstanding results that are quality focused. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will * Review plans and specifications prior to commencing on site to ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of each project and details * Develop methodologies and installation program ensuring that it is aligned with the construction programme and critical dates * Liaise with external key stakeholders involved in the project including clients, principals, consultants and suppliers * Manage project documentation and ensure that RFI's are raised in a timely manner * Accurately measure all materials and schedule orders to meet critical installation dates * Coordinate and schedule day to day activities on site and the management of labour resources including employees and subcontractors * Develop and implement a Quality Assurance Plan and ensure that plans are followed and documentation completed, and items closed out in a timely manner * Monitor costs and advised management of any fluctuations The right candidate will have: * Relative commercial construction experience preferably in commercial roofing * Good knowledge of the commercial construction industry, products and supply chain * Skills to develop strong relationships with all key stakeholders and build on Kiwi Roofing's brand, reputation and professionalism * A thorough understanding and knowledge of construction contracts and how these are applied * Strong commercial acumen to maintain or manage construction costs mitigating margin erosion * Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times while working with key stakeholders to overcome challenges and deliver on time results * Sound time management skills focused on forward planning to avoid unnecessary delays * The ability to lead, motivate and mentor installation teams while setting realistic targets * Have a restricted or full New Zealand driver’s licence.
