About the Role We are seeking a motivated and dependable Yardman to join our operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment are cleaned to a high standard and that pre-hire safety and functionality checks are carried out on EWPs, forklifts, and other yard equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our operational efficiency and maintaining our reputation for quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Clean and detailed machinery to ensure units meet company presentation standards. - Conduct routine pre-use inspections on EWPs, forklifts, and other equipment. - Identify and report defects, damage, or safety concerns. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment. - Assist with general yard and operational duties as required. - Skills and Experience - Previous experience in a yard, workshop, or machinery handling role is preferred. - Basic mechanical knowledge and strong attention to detail. - Commitment to following health and safety policies and procedures. - Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team. - A current forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
