In this hands-on role you’ll carry out fabrication maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heavy off-road machinery including loaders material handlers and terminal tractors. You’ll be based at the Bluff port with access to the right tools gear and support. **Location:** Gisborne Port **Status:** Full-time Mon-Fri 0730 - 1630 **Specific Responsibilities:** * Carry out welding fabrication and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment * Monitor and replace worn attachments and components * Provide technical input to improve component quality and longevity * Maintain a safe work environment and report incidents promptly **Who we're after:** * Must have a NZQA Level 4 Trade Qualification (or overseas equivalent) * Proven experience heavy equipment welding plus solid understanding of welding practices. * Able to work independently and as part of a small team. * Bring a positive can-do attitude to the role. **bout us** Qube Ports NZ is a nationwide service provider offering a comprehensive range of cargo logistics stevedoring marshalling transportation warehousing services and IT solutions.
