About the Role We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our agile delivery team. You’ll help us build software that’s right the first time through smart test design, automation, and seamless collaboration with developers and the product owner. Working in a modern DevOps environment, you’ll: • Drive shift-left testing and embed quality early in the delivery cycle. • Enable fast, reliable feedback loops that help teams move with confidence and speed. • Continuously improve our testing practices, tooling, and culture of quality. This is a role for someone who loves improving how teams deliver software—not just catching bugs, but making sure we build quality into everything we do. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests across layers (unit assist, API/service, UI/end‑to‑end, contract, performance where applicable). • Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, refinement, reviews, retros) and contribute test perspective. • Collaborate with the team to design and maintain test scenarios and risk-informed testing approaches that ensure feature quality and coverage. • Build and maintain reusable test data, mocks, and fixtures; contribute to environment and pipeline stability. • Execute exploratory, functional, regression, integration, compatibility, accessibility, and usability testing as appropriate. • Integrate tests into CI/CD (Azure DevOps) • Collaborate closely with developers to triage issues, reproduce defects, and prevent recurrence via root-cause analysis. • Define and track quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, MTTR for test failures, automation coverage, test suite duration). • Document test strategies, test cases, and results; provide clear, actionable bug reports with evidence and impact. What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience: • Proven experience in agile software testing (Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks). • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly language. • Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Cypress and MS Test (or equivalents). • Familiarity with Azure Functions or similar serverless computing environments. • Proficient in React, TypeScript, C# (.NET 9), and GraphQL. • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps. • Competence with Git-based version control and modern development workflows (PRs, code reviews).
