Description

Crane & Carry is a Christchurch based operation known for running sharp gear, lifting heavy things, and moving over-dimensional and specialist freight across the South Island all with a can-do attitude. We take pride in doing things properly and enjoy working alongside each other. Whether it’s long, heavy, wide, or just plain difficult, that’s our bread and butter. We specialise in the kind of freight most others steer clear of steel, concrete, roofing iron, and construction materials that demand proper handling and the right equipment. A rare opportunity has opened to join our team operating our heavy-lift crane truck. If you have the following attributes, we’d love to hear from you: • Full Class 5 license • Proven Hiab background with NZQA qualification (we’ll consider supporting the right candidate to obtain this) • Tidy, careful approach to gear and lifting • Strong communication skills and a professional manner on site • Practical, can-do attitude with a safety-first mindset What we offer: • A solid, well-run operation with a strong reputation in the industry • A mix of modern gear and trusted workhorses all well maintained, with a plan for ongoing upgrades • A wide variety of work and interesting loads • Christchurch base with South Island travel as we continue to grow with customer demand • A tight-knit team that backs each other and knows how to get the job done • Mostly Monday to Friday work, with the occasional weekend when required • A genuine focus on Health & Safety with a “no shortcuts” approach • Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid working visa If you’re after a role where it’s about the people as much as the trucks, the work’s solid, and the team has each other’s back, we’d like to hear from you. We’re a small, committed crew who work hard, help each other out, and wrap up the week with a Friday “debrief.” If you’re ready to be part of something that’s building, this could be your next move.
