An experienced transport administrator is needed for a small tight knit team based in Onehunga. This covers tasks from despatch, delivery scheduling, H&S, vehicle servicing and compliance and would be supporting our transport supervisor in all aspects . We are looking for the professional who shows pride, believes that safety in the workplace is paramount You must be a good communicator and be well presented. About the role: We are currently looking for a Scheduler to join our team based in Hautapu. Reporting to the Scheduling Supervisor, this role will ensure efficient and timely scheduling and dispatch of product delivery, whilst maintaining full compliance with legislation, Alexander group and Customer policies. • Manage end-to-end Scheduling process from planning daily schedules over each route to liaising with numerous stakeholders on any changes & providing accurate documentation needed for all deliveries. • Ensure daily delivery schedules are well planned in order to maximize efficiency. • Ensure that scheduling requests are considered, and deliveries are made to meet their requirements whilst maintaining compliance with NZTA legislation. • Plan and execute fleet availability to meet customer demands. • Follow the maintenance schedule and ensure all vehicles are compliant in consultation with the Scheduling Supervisor. • Monitoring of drivers through all shifts. • Monitor, maintain & analyse GPS data. • Monitor all route hazards and black spots and promulgate planned routes. • Monitor any HSE requirements including fatigue and alerts. • Ensure all required paperwork is filed and accurate data is entered in the system. • Liaise with Drivers on any issues and report to the Scheduling Supervisor to find solutions as team. • Monday-Friday (8.00 am to 5.00 pm). One weekend in a month might be required on-call. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a high-level position best suited to someone with a mechanical or operational background. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of our vehicle and equipment fleet – from maintenance and renewals to utilisation and performance tracking.  Our fleet includes a wide range of assets, including: * Light vehicles (cars and utes) * Heavy plant (Tractors, mowers, sweepers) * Small plant and equipment (blowers, water blasters, and more) You will have three workshop mechanics reporting directly to you, and you’ll work closely with the NZ Plant Manager and our two Operations Managers to ensure assets are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and well-maintained. Key responsibilities * Maintain an overview of servicing and maintenance and legislative requirements of all plant and vehicles within the contract. * Ensure at all times that all plant and vehicles  are compliant with all relevant regulations and maintained to manufacturers recommendations. * Assist Operational Managers with sourcing hire equipment and ensure that hired equipment meets all Ventia safety requirements. * Review plant defect reports and Fuel reports , address issues as and when they arise. * Arrange and coordinate plant specific operator training and defensive driving courses within the division and maintain records of training. * Ensure all plant and vehicle damage is appropriately reported, recorded and investigated. * Ensure a high level of plant and vehicle upkeep is maintained and implement cleaning regular regimes for mowing equipment to reduce rust and corrosion faults.
