This is a vintage commemorative jug made by Crown Lynn. This Ballins Breweries Commemorative Jug was produced for their centenary 1878 - 1978. The commemorative version was issued to all Ballins staff in 1978 to mark the company's first 100 years.. Ballins was a Christchurch aerated water manufacturer established by Bernhard Ballin in 1878 manufacturing sparkling soft drinks, wine, quinine and cordials. It is glazed light brown with patches of dark brown. On the front of the jug is a circle incorporating the name Ballins with the dates 1878 - 1978 and on the back has two horses pulling a cart laden with 14 wine barrels. In 1975 Ballin merged with Coco-Cola and Schweppes. Excellent condition with no noted defects, probably one of the best examples available of this. Approximately 14 cm tall. Approximately 13 cm in diameter (at the widest point of the opening). Spot a great deal? Grab it before its gone! AFTERPAY AVAILABLE!
