Originally collected in 2012 for our heritage timber collection, this piece has been air-dried for over 10 years and recently kiln-dried for stability. We are now releasing it to the public after discontinuing our native hardwood project to focus on Swamp Kauri. With a density exceeding 900 kg/m³, it was traditionally used for high-end furniture, tool handles, flooring, and boatbuilding. Its rich olive-brown tone, fine grain, and remarkable durability make it a favourite among collectors, artisans, and restoration specialists.
