We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our dedicated and professional team. If you are passionate about automotive technology and enjoy working in a fast-paced workshop, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities As an Automotive Electrician, your duties will include: • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in vehicles • Installing and maintaining electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and instrumentation • Using diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify issues • Repairing or replacing starter motors, alternators, batteries, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs) • Performing system checks and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications • Installing aftermarket accessories such as audio systems, alarms, GPS, and dash cameras • Reading and interpreting technical diagrams and wiring schematics • Collaborating with technicians and service managers to ensure efficient workflow • Maintaining detailed repair records and service documentation • Ensuring all work meets safety and quality control standards Skills & Experience Required • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automotive electrical diagnostics and repair • Excellent understanding of modern automotive electrical systems • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and scan tools • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team • Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach Job Conditions • Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week, Monday to Saturday • Maximum 45 hours per week depending on workload • Long-term, permanent role with growth opportunities How to Apply To apply, please send your CV and a brief cover letter to: kazuko@easjp.co.nz Please ensure your visa status is clearly stated in your CV.
