Extreme Co. are an Auckland based company specialising in ecological restoration in difficult to access, and high risk areas. We incorporate a range of ground based and rope access techniques across our varying sites. We are looking for full time permanent, or full time fixed term contract employees to work in our ground based roles. This role will require you to work together with our teams to survey and control pest plant species, using manual and agrichemical control methods. You will work outdoors, in bush and roadside corridor environments. Our ideal candidate will be: * Knowledgeable around native plants and pest plant control. * Experienced in carrying out physical labour outside in all weather and environments. * Reliable and hard working. * Someone who takes pride from doing a thorough job. * Very conscious and focused on health, safety, and environment. Our ideal candidate needs to be willing to develop (or advantageous to already hold): * A clean Full Class 1 Drivers License * Current Growsafe Certificate * Current First Aid Certificate * Chainsaw certifications and experience * A genuine interest in working towards biodiversity and conservation efforts * Native plant and pest plant identification and knowledge * Ability to work alone and as part of a team, adapting to new environments and technologies * A passion for the environment * Ability to use mobile mapping applications While not essential, prior knowledge in this industry would be desirable. We will give you full training, equipment, supervision, and support to obtain the experience and credentials you need for this role.
