About the Role We are looking for a talented Stonemason to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be required to read and interpret plans, collaborate with other departments, cut or shape stones and tiles, and fix stones/tiles according to structural plans. Key Responsibilities • Reading and interpreting structural plans • Determining the materials and equipment needed for the project • Preparing and doing footings and surround areas • Mixing grout and cement • Cutting and shaping stones to desired dimensions • Laying stones according to construction plans or project specifications • Tile preparation and tile laying • Carpentry to make furniture frames for stone or tiles to go on • Finish exposed concrete/ trail off concrete • Repairing and replacing stone blocks • Operate plant and hand tools • Manual labour Key Requirements • At least 2 plus years working as a Stonemason (would accept Bricklayer/Concrete Technician) • Ideally experience working with marble and stone • Excellent craftsmanship skills • Ability to visualize, implement off plans and construct • Must be very good with hand tools. • Physically strong and fit to lift heavy objects. • Ability to work outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time • Must be able to work 6 days a week if required If the above sounds like you, please apply today!
