The new applicant will join a friendly, experienced team with a wealth of knowledge. If you don't already have the skills, we will train you in the required techniques to work on these beautiful vehicles and become a technician in high demand in the industry. You will custom build, repair, and modify motorhomes and caravan bodies. Install and fit various accessories such as solar systems, satellite dishes, roof hatches, windows, TVs, awnings, bike racks, roof racks, etc. Once you are familiar with all aspects of this unique trade and have attention to detail, you may be trained to conduct annual vehicle inspections and examinations. Pay will depend on your skill set. We reward quality workmanship, willingness to learn, and determination. You will be required to: • General repairs to motorhomes, caravans and RVS • Custom building, repairing and modifying motorhome and caravan bodies • Dismantling, labelling and storing vehicle parts in allocated locations for reassembly later • Custom fabrication of components in timber, plywood, and other exotic or man-made materials • Plastic welding and repairing vehicle components • Filling and fairing vehicle body parts and external walls ready for the spray painter • Making brackets and fitting tanks • Fixing plumbing connections to tanks, installing tanks, running pipes and repairing various plumbing fittings such as taps, toilets, basins, pumps, etc. • Become familiar with timber rot repairs, fixing the consequences of water ingress in caravans and motorhomes • Fitting RV accessories to motorhomes and caravans • Become familiar with using epoxy resin and fibreglass to repair vehicles constructed using composite materials. • Cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles when work is completed • Assist in cleaning the workshop and related areas daily • Uphold the workplace health and safety standards • Completion of worksheets and daily timesheets allocated to the vehicles worked on, and recording parts used to do the repairs • Notify a superior immediately if any damage to a vehicle appliance or accessory occurs or is noticed • Any other duties that may be required from time to time
