A busy bakery in Auckland is looking for a baker. Essential requirements • Ability to work under pressure • Attention to detail • Willingness to learn and follow instructions • Can-do attitude and teamwork • Flexibility to work weekends and non-rostered days • excellent customer service and communication skills • two-year relevant experience gained in New Zealand • English proficiency at least overall PTE score 30 (Academic) Your tasks • Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations • Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients • Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods • preparing pastry fillings • Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times • Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products • Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing • Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits • Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment • Follow recipes and change ingredients when needed • Measure and mix ingredients • Bake items in an oven • Prepare items for sale, including icing items or decorating cakes • Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with • Occupational health and safety regulations Benefits As a valuable member of our team, you will have • Full-time permanent role, at least 30 hours/week • Starting wage (minimum wage) $28/hour • Maximum wage $30/hour • Supportive work environment How to apply • Please apply via Trademe • It’s crucial to specify your immigration status in your CV or Cover letter.
