We're an Auckland based bakery creating hand-crafted, long-fermented, high-hydration sourdough and buttery rustic pastries. Our bread calls for a natural leaven, a long, slow ferment, and the best organic and spray free NZ ingredients where possible. Opening our first bakery in early 2018, founded on principles of using locally sourced ingredients where possible and making the best bread we can conceive. Benefits - Wages - $26-$32/hour - Working Hours - Min 30 hrs/week Requirements - Level 2 is required. - OR two years of relevant experience is required. - Level 2 certificate - Level 2- Certificate is preferred. Job Duties As the 2IC of one of our Daily Bread stores, this role will be based in Auckland at either our Britomart site or New Lynn site. A day in the life includes: •Planning menus in consultation with Chefs •Planning and organising special functions as required by the Marketing Manager •Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget •Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions •Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance •Opening and closing of store including cash-up and wastage items •Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff •Have the ability to run the cafe without the store manager onsite - this will be required at least 2 days per week. •Ensuring outdoor areas and tables are clean and wiped ready for next customers to use •Provide training to new employees so that they have extensive knowledge and comply with food safety guidelines and procedures.
