Description

Are you an experienced machine operator with a background in manufacturing or food production? We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our client’s dynamic operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in food innovation and contribute to high-quality production processes. The site is based in Mangere. What You Can Expect: • $27–$30/hour + 8% Holiday Pay • Weekly Pay • A supportive team environment with great company culture • Opportunity to move from temporary to permanent employment Key Responsibilities: • Set up, operate, and maintain industrial, pilot-scale, and lab-scale electrospinning machinery • Read and interpret production instructions and adjust machine settings accordingly • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance • Inspect raw materials and parts to ensure they meet quality standards • Record production data and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement efforts • Assist with commissioning of new machinery and support maintenance planning • Collaborate with external service providers when required • Uphold all health, safety, and compliance standards on-site About You: • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment • Preferably some experience on Rotary Pouch, Vertical Form Fill and Seal Machines • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001/GMP) • Comfortable working with hazardous materials, solvents, and polymers • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of urgency • Good written and verbal communication skills • Adaptable and collaborative, able to work well in a fast-paced environment • New Zealand Resident or Citizen If you have the experience please send me your resume to Neika@hirestaff.co.nz or text me ‘’Machine Op’’ to 0212832223

Tasman Tanning South Island Limited is situated on the outskirts of Timaru. The Tannery plant has an ongoing program of continual improvement and investment. The role will initially be on our dayshift roster starting at 6.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Once trained, you may be assigned to alternative shifts. The duties will include the daily operation of the drums which include loading and unloading the drums and vessels, loading chemicals and monitoring the processes. You will also be trained in the stringent safety practices involved in the operation of these vessels along with the correct use and wearing of PPE. The expectations will be to comply with and where necessary enforce company policies and practices currently in place and any new policies/practices that are implemented. We undertake pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
