We are on the lookout for motivated Cook (2x) to join our team in our Business. You must be passionate about hospitality and be enthusiastic and willing to work. You need to show good communication skills and have a caring nature to ensure you leave a positive impression on staff and customers alike. Job title: Cook Job locations: Auckland Number of Positions: 2 positions Employment Type: Permanent Days required: Rotating Roster and weekends availability is required. Hours per week: Minimum 30 hrs per week Hourly rate of pay: $24 Your Tasks Include:- * Take care of the daily food preparation and duties to meet the standard and quality. * Train the junior kitchen staff. * Estimate daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met. * Ensure production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times. * Knowledge of all standards procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation. * Full awareness of all menu items, recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards. * Responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils. * To produce own work in accordance with deadlines. * Periodically check the expiry date and proper storage of food items in the section. * Abide and enforce health codes and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food storage areas. * Ensure plating accuracy, garnishing, portion size and correct serving dish. * Comply with health and safety regulations. Requirements:- * Minimum 3 years of experience, Ideally in the Indian Cuisine. * Must be holding a NZQA level-5 qualification in Commercial Cookery. * understanding of hygiene and health and safety regulations. * Knowledge of food preparation, cooking and food presentation skills. * A positive attitude * Must have the availability to work on weekends. * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. * Good communication skills and attention to detail. * Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
