Zana Restaurant in Ormiston is looking for 2 chefs to join asap. Our busy restaurant requires 2 chefs with skills in Thai Cuisine and Hyderabadi Indian Cuisine. Suitable candidates must be qualified or experienced. This role requires a level 5 or higher qualification relevant cooking or culinary arts. If not qualified then at least 3 years of full time experience as a chef is required. Duties include- - planning menus for restaurant - estimating food and labour costs - sourcing and ordering food supplies - monitoring quality of dishes - discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff - demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures - training and monitoring kitchen staff - preparing and cooking South Asian food including authentic Hyderabadi dishes - complying with hygiene regulations - assist in selecting and training staff We are offering an hourly pay rate between $30 and $35 depending on skill level.
