We are a busy tiling company in Auckland. We are looking for tilers. Essential Requirements • Proven willingness to learn new skills • Attention to detail • Having can-do attitude • Willingness to follow instructions • Having at least two years relevant experience gained in New Zealand Tasks • preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and • cracks, and cleaning surfaces • spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position • using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around • objects such as fittings and pipes • ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced • may lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition • may lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics • Installing shower trays • Examining plans and blueprints, and undertaking initial measuring and marking work • Making detailed measurement and using tools (eg. spacer) to make sure tiles are installed • and spaced consistently. • Creating blueprints or layout tiles on a dry service to prepare decorative mosaics or patterns • Cutting & shaping tiles with electric or mechanical tools • Laying tiles on a flat, clean and level surface or wall • Grouting tiles and removing excess grout • Applying waterproof systems • Measure and design tile layouts to meet customers’ requirements • cut tiles with limited wastage • Lay all type of tiles (ceramic, mosaic, marble stone etc) and grouting/sealants • On-site tidy up and cleaning of tools, equipment, etc. • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and procedures • Additional tasks may be appointed depending on skill and experience Benefits • Full-time permanent role, at least 30 hours/week • Starting wage (Minimum wage) $30/hour • Maximum wage $31/hour • Supporting work environment, on-the-job training provided to the right candidates How to apply Please apply via Trademe.
