Are you a passionate, results-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of the retail hardware or paint industry? Resene is looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Auckland team, managing and growing our relationships with Mitre 10 stores across the Auckland Region. As a key member of Resene’s Mitre 10 National Sales Team, you’ll bring a strong understanding of the Mitre 10 business, along with solid business acumen and an entrepreneurial approach. Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: * Managing and developing strong relationships with Mitre 10 Mega stores across Auckland. * Driving revenue growth through up-selling, cross-selling, and customer loyalty initiatives. * Providing monthly insights, analysis, and tailored strategies for each account. * Becoming a trusted partner to store owners, procurement teams, inventory managers, and department staff. * Working closely with paint department managers and teams to support day-to-day operations and foster strong in-store relationships. Ideal Candidate Requirements: * Retail channel experience, ideally in key account or territory sales roles within DIY hardware or paint-related industries. * Strong communication and business partnering skills – you can relate to a wide range of people and tailor your approach with ease. * Proven negotiation and selling ability, with a track record of achieving targets. * Analytical and numerically confident, with an eye for detail and the ability to turn insights into meaningful actions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with CRM tools. * Accountable, organised, and self-motivated – you follow through on commitments and own your outcomes. * Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and a proactive attitude.
