Towbar Express is a fast-growing manufacturer, wholesaler and fitter of quality towbars and automotive accessories. We supply to businesses nationwide from our operations in Christchurch (Head Office), Wellington and Auckland. Our Auckland base, in East Tamaki, operates as our North Island distribution centre, towbar design centre, and fitting operation for standard and custom design for the Auckland market. Products include towbars for vehicles, trucks, motorhomes etc, ute Hard Lids and Canopies, reversing cameras and van shelving fit outs. We require an additional person to work in our fitting / installation area of the business. The successful applicant will enjoy an excellent working environment and a wage appropriate with experience. Daily task and responsibilities: - Installation of towbars and wiring solutions - Installation of ute hard lids and canopies - Assist with manufacture of towbar components - Assist with final product assembly -- Flame wrapping and packaging Prerequisite skills and personal attributes for this role include: - A self-starter who uses initiative and is organised - Previous experience in fitting automotive accessories - Mature attitude, with a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude - Good communication skills - Enjoy working as part of a team, with a friendly helpful attitude - Accurate with attention to detail - Follow supplied check procedure - Tack and welding skills an advantage - Towbar installation - Vehicle bumper removal - Vehicle wiring - Liaise with Admin and Sales team in a professional manner - Ability to liaise with customers if necessary - A full driver’s licence is required Start date ASAP.
