A leading company based in Otago across structural steel construction design, fabrication and erection in residential, commercial and industrial builds. Looking for skilled welders to join a solid crew who are reliable, efficient, and hardworking, with a relentless focus on quality and high productivity. The Role * Understand and interpret technical design + layout drawings * Erecting structural steel and metalwork items on a range of construction sites * Fabricating steel parts such as portals, columns, beams, etc. * Welding steel parts, dismantling structures and equipment * Reporting variations Key Requirements * The ability to read and understand technical drawings to breakdown manufacturing and erection into sequences and timelines. * Previous structural steel erecting experience * Ability to work in a team and independently * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Full NZ Driver's License Beneficial Requirements * Rigging / Slinging qualifications a bonus The Details * Around 45 hours per week. * Standard workshop hours are 7:00am - 4:30pm * Overtime available Applicants must be NZ Residents or hold a valid NZ work visa. Applicants will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment commencing.
