He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role We're looking for a dynamic and compassionate Family/Whānau Support Worker who can juggle multiple priorities with ease and bring genuine care to every interaction. In this role, you'll walk alongside whānau supporting loved ones experiencing mental health challenges, offering practical tools, goal planning, connection to resources, and recovery-focused guidance. You'll think on your feet, adapt to each situation, and keep whānau at the centre of everything you do. This is a permanent part-time position (This is a 20-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, with flexibility on when you work), perfect for someone who thrives on meaningful work and values flexibility, collaboration, and making a real difference. Who we're looking for: *Someone with great interpersonal skills and a respect for all cultures. *Strong connections within the local community and familiarity with local resources, services, and supports. *A non-judgmental attitude and a belief in encouraging and supporting families to develop the skills - required to support their loved one. *A natural problem solver and quick thinker. We're looking for someone who can work across a range of skills, including facilitating support group meetings and educational groups where people come together to support each other You'll thrive on variety, think on your feet, and love connecting with whānau and their communities. With your positive, non-judgmental approach, you'll bring encouragement, belief, and practical support to help people adapt and grow. You will have the following: *A minimum of a Level 4 mental health-related qualification *The ability to easily build professional relationships. *the right to work in New Zealand and a full NZ drivers license.
